decrepify boosts your damage output more than concentration, besides the slows

+1 for reaper plus it has LL so u can put gulli on your merc for dmg boost. ebug forty or treachery as armor.

I'm worried about the barb's poor attack rating tho so I think I'll go with pride

Exactly so how to deal with that without pride on merc? =\

A reaper merc will hit bosses harder with decrep and let you hit harder as well

use raven. i had a frenzy tele barb this ladder and there was nothing he couldnt kill (never hosted full p8 games though). equip like in this post: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=76157114&f=87&p=515215214

my only difference was the raven ring, and therefore no cham in gulli but ias jool. you could socket ias/ar, also many leechrings got +ar. plus there's sword mastery, so dont worry - its not pvp. i ended up with 5858 ar after bo and never felt like i need more.

btw i found frenzy much more enjoyable for manual play than ww.
