honestly a weak administration can possibly be the most effective administration for the greater social benefit. a government which yields total control of legislation runs the precariousness of unjust or unfair policies implemented. the bill was bad. there isn't any good contingency. this isn't actually a negative concept. this literally forces both sides of the party to come together and create a fair remedy

agree

and democrats only a few short months after the massacre are already able to start building the narrative of saving the day from an incompetent administration

It would be insanely interesting to see how the talk radio/Fox News people would react if Trump worked with Democrats. So far Hannity/Laura Ingraham have taken the "oppose the healthcare bill but don't criticize Trump" route.

As I was pointing out earlier this thread, it could come in one of two forms- the threat of compromise with democrats if the republicans can't unify, which gets the freedom caucus to fall in line, or the actual compromise where he goes full blown liberal healthcare plan. Both are still fairly unlikely scenarios. The former because the nutwings won't compromise with anything short of using the spanish inquisition to horrifically torture them into submission, the latter because it takes quite a few defectors and establishment democrats are corrupt enough by insurance interests they would oppose nationalized healthcare anyway

It's better to let it fall and elect Bernie. A president that needs to say he is the president, is no president at all.
Trump is starting to remind me of Joffrey.

Bernie does better where he is at

and the frustration and anger that came from many with his loss will actually lead to more success (from the left of left perspective) than if he had won in my opinion

Bernie would have made a very meh President but as a political process martyr he keeps the frustration alive and since his heavy millennial base has to be highly motivated to stay active it's the better way for them long term

I really doubt we'll see more politically active 18-35 demographic in the coming elections.

In the numbers they need? I don't disagree

but I do think more are active which is good. If some of them go through the process and start getting elected they can begin to represent themselves and their futures more than they have access now.

One thing they are wrong about is that the far left doesn't have nearly the support or power they think it does so they will have to be a bit more pragmatic (not give in or give up) but the US simply doesn't operate at they fast food pace they are used to and they will need to adapt.
