it was epic but Euron getting stabbed 15 times and still this crazy guy hacking down people left and right... come on feels so cheap

the ptsd reek moment was great atleast

He's got cut a few times. Not stabbed

Is transitioning from disgusting fluids to food going to be a recurring thing now? -_-

Anyways, I don't get the disappointment, the episode was pretty good imo. All of the plotlines are advancing at a steady rate, and I too think that Euron's naval victory combined with the Rose of Thorns telling her queen that she's a dragon and not a sheep will cause a shift in the current invasion strategy. Jon going to King's Landing will be interesting too. Him and Davos will probably flip their shit when they see Melissandre, and that could have consequences (how will Daenerys react to what they tell her she did? will Jon or Davos be willing to forgive her and work with her? would the North forgive her too?).

They are at dragon stone not kings landing. And I doubt melissandre will still be there. She's just trying to pair Jon and Dany together

And I thought it was a good episode lol. Dunno what the complaining is about.

I'm a realist. I understand they are on a budget and this season was cut to 7 episodes. I'm just pointing out that, as a result, it's only expected that things feel rushed instead of being developed as well as we saw in the earlier seasons.

I would have preferred individual conversations between Dany and her new followers where we get to see her earning their respect (because they think she's a good leader) which is what we've had for her journey all along. We know why Jorah is so devoted to her because we saw that relationship developed over a long period of time.

In this case, it all happened offscreen with an apparent meeting from Varys. We are left to conclude that the Dorne is just joining Dany out of the convenience that they have common enemies. Melisandre shows up outta nowhere pitching the Jon/Dany meet that we've all known the show has been leading to all along. The conversation was quick, the pieces all fit in perfectly. It's not as good as the old Stannis/Davos/Melisandre dynamic, where there was conflict and people had to be convinced about who they were going to trust over a period of time together.

Yeah, it would be nice for this much depth but it's not feasible. You can't spend that much time discussing how/why they should listen to little t's plan of attack and agree. We all know why each party is teaming with Dany - we don't need one on one meetings to know this. Tyrell is avenging loris/margery, Martel for Oberin, Yara for control of the Iron Islands / kill Euron.

Leg work is already done. No need to rehash. Other things need to be attended to.

lol, I know, my bad :wallbash:

guess I was thinking about King's Landing since my previous line was about the shift in the invasion strategy

When the sand snakes were talking about who they were going to kill I was expecting them to 3v1 the Mountain. Could have been a good matchup.

Actually really liking Euron. It's a shame he's on the oppositions side but it'll be a good fight with whoever he takes on when he dies.

I wonder what will happen to Theon, whether he'll fade into obscurity or try rescue his sister.

Honestly the sand snakes dying to some druggie dickhead is complete bullshit. They definitely were trained enough to destroy him.

E: also they cut away from the girl he was choking to death before she died, I wonder if she lived? It is odd to not show a death, unless I just missed it.

She died. You can see her hanging from the prow of the ship in one of the next scenes(that was her whip she was hanging from). They actually had plans for more for her, but she was busy with Ironfist.

It was Nymeria and Obara. Would be pretty wasteful to just off Yara like that. He's either going to make a spectacle of it, or Theon is going to redeem himself.

Yeah I thought it was Yara because they had a pretty long lingering shot of Theon looking up at it. Makes sense that it was one of the sands though. I watched the episode after a long day of work lol.

I wonder if Theon will go back to Danny or maybe flee to the North.
