Get some 2x4's, make a box. Add 1' wood sheet on top

Why is this so hard?

hey guys, just to update. i spent around $52 sadly. more than i expected. was like $32 for the 4 casters that lock, but they seem like very good quality locking casters. the casters have 4 holes in each so needed alot of bolts.

i got (16x) 6 inch carriage bolts, (4x) 1 inch hex bolts, (4x) 2 foot long and 2 inch thick wood planks, (1x) 2 ft by 2 ft square that is 1 inch thick of wood. since its 20 bolts total, i also got 20 lock nuts.

so i measured out the length of the metal frame underneath the chair. front left to right its around 15 and 3/8 inch front each rubber foot. and then from front to back its around 24 inches.

so plan to use the big 2 ft by 2 ft wood and use the 4x 1 inch hex bolts to attach the square wood to the bottom. then i will use 2x of the 2 foot long and 2 inch thick wooden planks from rear to front and stack 2 on left and 2 on the right underneath. then i will attach the 4 casters in each corner. the 6 inch carriage bolts should do the trick. this should raise the chair by around 7 or 8 inches higher. because the 2x 2 inch thick planks, 1x 1 inch thick wooden square, and the casters are prob around 2 to 3 inches tall.

any suggestions about this or do you guys think it should be good?

meh thats more work lol. i can barely see it once i flipped the chair back upright

yo ghot and atrhur and others! so i finally got it going. its hard to tell from pictures but its got 2x 2inch planks under the 2ft x 2 ft square 1 inch thick board. but now whenever i open and close the recliner to open the feet rest, it makes a weird clicking noise and some resistance when closing it, like something is in the way of the mechanics but i cant tell
