I guess you didn't. Good thing I'm not holding my breath.

Those feet are too small to get more than one decent sized bolt through there...YOU comprehend...yet?

I don't think casters would be a good idea at all. I think you'd be better off (it would be stronger) to just put the oak frame like I suggested way back. That way it would have to bend the front and the back feet at the same time to bend the feet.

With a caster, it only has to bend one foot.

/e You can still add casters to the frame. But 4 casters w/o the frame will probably bend the feet.

well, then can i just do the same wood plank, but not singular wooden squares. and then i can add casters to the wooden planks still? support from wooden planks and the mobility and extra height from casters?

how would it bend the feet?
the feet literally support it now and it would be mounted to a sheet of wood.

The casters would add leverage, which the "feet" don't have ...now.

But you already know this...obviously. :/

The frame like in the pic in post #1, and the one I drew, would distribute the lateral stress, from one foot to two feet.

If you want casters on the frame, I'm sure it would be OK.

I would use a 3/8 bolt though, I think the 1/4 inch would be too weak.

Sorry I took so long, I had to whip up some Arroz con pollo. :)

And 1 solid wood board would put stress evenly across all 4 vs just 2 laterally.

Well that's what the frame I drew is for.
I think plywood would be a little too weak. I mean if ya happen to have a spare table top lying around, that would probably work. :)

i guess any wood thats a decent thickness and strength should work i guess?

i think we were all talking about a 1 inch thick piece of wood. but what about if its 2 inches? would 2 inches increase support? or would it make it more difficult to run a nut and bolt and caster through it all because its too thick and the caster may not be long enough to go through it?
