You can legalize marijuana or you can have a welfare state. You CANT have both.

...why? This statement doesn't make any logical sense on its own so clarification would be helpful.

Here's my stance. I don't drink alcohol nor have I ever smoked marijuana or used any drug.

I am completely pro marijuana usage.

It's a complete waste of time and resources fighting the legalization of it.

Why should it be legal? The most important reason is that there are far more dangerous substances available that are legal. Wth that said, everything else does not matter. Alcohol is more dangerous and far more detrimental to our society. A plant simply shouldn't be demonized as it is. It's 2016 and choice should matter. Legalize it and tax it as alcohol and move on. It will create thousands of jobs in each and every state across many different sectors.

You're using your brother to help your argument, but it lacks any concrete support as he just has a mental addiction. We as humans can be addicted to anything we enjoy such as food, dangerous and exillerating events, etc.

The plant isn't harmless, but it surely doesn't need any more attention than other "adult" products.

There's pros and cons to everything.
But the fact this plant is still illegal is crazy.

some people can handle shit some can't
some benefit from shit and some don't

it's dumb to criminalize it and it's dumb to make the arguments that you have listed

let the people figure out for themselves which should and shouldn't do it and offer support for those that would like to get off of it if they can't themselves

It's dumb people can't handle their children getting murdered.

We did. It's illegal. There isn't a new procedure to make it safer in the last however many years. There isn't some 'new found safe' way to distribute it, tax it, or even use it.

And do you know why it's still illegal?

bet you didn't know this; Ammonia levels in Marijuana smoke is 20 times higher than in cigarettes.
Oh, wanna guess what Ammonia does in your airways?

Causes fucking cancer. So all in all, you say fight cancer with Marijuana?

NO. Fight Cancer with THC. Marijuana is NOT PURE THC.

Welfare causes people to be more dependent on the government and less productive

Marijuana causes people to just be less productive

So combining the 2 would make the state stagnant. I don't see how people don't realize this- I guess they're High

Nice argument

Let's legalize heroine cause everything has pros and cons.
You better study weed and it's harmful, short-term and long-term side effects.
To all you addicted people and supporters of legalization of cannabis, get well asap :)
