I would answer that Trump has no clue but it doesn't matter because he is intelligent and knows his supporters don't know either.

It's his given birth name, Rafael is actually common throughout history

http://www.behindthename.com/name/raphael

See variant: Rafael (GERMAN) common spelling, and some painter in Italy and I think a ninja turtle too.

But by all means, it's cuz his daddy is Cuban

Yeah, you keep using a name that he doesn't use for himself and which no one else uses for him and which makes his roots more obvious, but it's just a coincidence man, ain't got nothin to do with his race, no dog whistles here, doot doot doot.

Marbury v Madison and McCulloch v Maryland were bad decisions.

So you think SCOTUS shouldn't have judicial review? And you think the Court misread the "necessary and proper" clause?

Basically your argument is that "America" was great for 20 years or so...but really there is no "America," at least as we know it, until after these decisions and growth to the power & strength of the federal government.

You wanna go back to the Articles of Confederation?

20,000 years ago when the Ancient Minoans "employed" the Native Indians and had a most of NA involved in copper production, smelting and exporting, good times, never been the same since.

There are so many factors involved with this. But I would say the last time America was "great" was during the early 1990s. Maybe the late 1980s.

We've had some rougher years in the 2000s and 2010s. Things are looking pretty decent right now, better than 2007-2008, but not great, I guess.

Honestly it's tough to say. I think America was at its ideological peak at its inception in the late 1700s.

Interested in your thoughts.

what defines 'greatness' for a country/nation?
next you have to ask yourself when did the usa achieve 'greatness'?
most people in the world would agree that that happened during or before wwi
has the usa lost that status?
only stupid people like trump supporters would think so
but a trump presidency is potentially a good way of removing that status from the usa
