all this talk is pointless
We all watch naruto for the same reason, because it builds and builds to an amazing climax, then does it again. The fact is that even if you are judging the fillers as part of the show, (which is pointless, like judging attack on titan by the LA movie), ild watch 100 episodes of the filler just to get to that one amazing episode that puts every other shounen ever made to shame.

You do bring up a good point.
I just like the show itself. I don't really care what's in the episode, except that you sometimes really wanna see what happens next and they don't show it to you.

You don't need development...
Like 95% of all shows ever made have a bunch of fillers that can be enjoyable to watch and don't necessarily add to the story

whats the point of watching if you don't want plot continuation?
not everyone just wants mindless time consuming entertainment.

like i said the story has extreme potential, the world is really cool.

but with a mixture of abuse of fan basis via excess fillers, lack of plot writing ability which in turn damages some of the action scenes by being imbalanced (like a math equation that does not equal out it is flawed), etc the show overall is simply not good.

ha
you can't be a real attack on titan fan if you don't like the movie, you guys obviously just don't like the world/characters enough

how about the naruto fillers at the moment? they're all top stuff so glad they included them. 2 episodes where something happens then random backstory flashback cutins about characters we really like (obito as a kid anyone?), good way to help the pacing/flow of a show

I don't think the pacing of a show is relevant 600 episodes in

gee the guy who likes filler doesn't care about the pacing
that's like saying it doesn't matter if it's crap as it's near the end
why would you want a show that moves at a good speed then has a slow drawn out ending

I was thinking our different opinions might come from a difference in philosophical viewpoint. I'm rating it as a complete work of art that should be judged once the show is over
Other people may be judging it as a show to enjoy each week

In the first scenario filler is bad as it increases the length (of an already long show) while lowering the average quality
But if your enjoying it as a weekly release filler will help the show continue longer and might provide extra entertainment

I rate every show as a show to enjoy. That's kind of what it was made for.
