Same sex marriages are more prone to divorce and single parent households are four times more likely to be poor.

yeah i said holistically. there's no proof of any intrinsic deleterious effects of any of this stuff, it can't be separated from circumstance.

mind blown

did not know such oppression still existed in 2015

On a serious note though the writer of that piece should go to the top floor, open the window and take a plunge. I wish people like her would spend a few years abroad in a 3rd world country, so they can get some perspective of what the real world is like.

True i suppose. I just think every person in the first world would benefit greatly if they lived 1-2 years abroad. This femenazi would be humbled to her betterment by spending a year or two in Afghanistan, or see the poverty of Sub-Saharan Africa etc.

everyone benefits from a sense of perspective but i don't begrudge anyone for trying to improve their own living and working conditions, even if those conditions are already great compared to other places in the world.

by dismissing something as first world problems you imply that the first world couldn't be better or more fair for certain groups.

That's the nature of the human being... dissatisfaction. The Buddhists got that right. Circumstances are mostly irrelevant.

The participation trophy, micro-aggression, temperature privilege crowd are turning our society into a bunch of mental midgets.

I dismiss it because it is completely idiotic. A normal person would either a) bring a sweater and solve the issue or b ) go to management or whatever and adjust the thermostat. It's a non issue but leave it some femenazi warrior to cry about it.

I was curious if she was married, and apparently she is to some guy named Ian Mcleod who is a CEO of Coles group. Yes i'm sure she's a champion of equality slinging shit from her ivory tower. Truly, such an inspiration for women all over the world.

My wife is a resident in medicine and currently searching for a job. Our friend is a male and called/applied at the same place we are looking.

My wife is bi-lingual, scored top 2% in the nation on her step 2 and step 3 exams. Made honors at University of Illinois and made AoA honors in medical school.

He got offered 260k she was offered 215k

He does not speak spanish and does not have honors.

She is more qualified than he is and got offered less.

That is a lot more than 1.2....
