There are reactions on the radio, TV, social media etc, about pretty prominent Muslim people condemning this terrorism attack. The phrase that keeps returning is "Islam is a religion of peace" and "these attackers are no true Muslims". I'm glad that these messages are being sent out because it shows that, indeed, most Muslims don't agree with any of this violence.

I'm actually wondering whether this will do any good though. I can imagine that these extremist people will eventually even turn themselves against other Muslims themselves...

A minority of muslims commit the acts and only a minority of the muslims are against them, the majority are silently cheering them on.

unless you are one of the silent cheerleaders, most peaceful Muslims have more to worry about than the rest of the world as the greatest share of Islamic terrorist acts are actually targeting other Muslims.

I can understand peoples outrage at this latest attack, as I'm outraged myself, but to lose focus on who the true enemy is here would be tragic. These splinter groups of Islamic terrorists who are practicing jihad vs. the western world don't speak for the millions of peaceful Muslims any more than the Westboro Baptist fruitcakes speak for all the Christians.

Silence is acceptance, not guessing, because the majority of muslims are against puppies, eating pig, and caricatures of their prophet.

Apart from Communists, Muslims commit the most terrorist acts.

I think that in the USA, almost all muslims would side with the french and call the attacks despicable
I'd say that in europe, most muslims would side with the terrorists but only when push comes to shove
And in the middle east, they'd happily dance in the streets every time a cartoonist gets beheaded

I wouldn't be as sure about the african or SEA muslim populations
