I agree. Part of the debate is whether gays can receive the Eucharist, apparently.
I don't see why not, it's a sin like many others and yet they(others) still receive it. I don't think gays should be excluded.

My understanding of the Pope's goal is to create a culture not blind to the sin of homosexuality, but accepting of homosexuals as sinners in our midst.
I think this is the case as well, I don't see why they should be treated any different then other folks. But, I understand why some people pick on homosexuals.
It's easier to spot a sinner if it's a gay couple in a church sitting together, but the alcoholic wife beater might not appear as he is in front of others.

It should be noted that the only sins which cannot be forgiven according to catholic doctrine are suicide and not asking a male priest for god's forgiveness.
I think ( I'm not sure on this, feel free to correct me ) it's not because suicide is such a big sin, rather it's because you can't confess your sin because you're dead so redemption is not possible. If you choose a method of suicide that is slow acting, maybe if a priest comes to your side and you repent, it might "work". Although, like I said, it might not. My guess is throwing away the life god has given you would be a pretty big affront all things considered.
