Your view doesn't represent reality. The vast majority of people are not terrified of police. I know literally NO ONE who feels that way, not a single person. You seem to think that the 30 second videos you're watching represents a complete picture. I have met a lot of cops and ALL of them were very friendly. You see the world through some funky beer goggles.

I know a few police myself (my uncle is a retired officer) and they're good people, but I've also known others who are fucking terrified of cops.
This includes one guy I knew whose brother was serving 7 years after police pulled him over and freaked out because he had a gun in his glovebox. Despite having a concealed carry permit and telling the officer he had a gun in the car, the cop turned it around and said he was reaching for it. He was trying to get his registration.
The police in that area were known to harass black people, so after that happened, I understand why that guy hated police. 7 years in prison is a long fucking time for speeding (going 50 in a 35). All because some shithead fabricated things in a police report...circumventing the justice system to get someone he thought was a thug off the street.
I'm more sympathetic to police in situations than the asshats they deal with on a daily basis. But you can't ignore police brutality and corruption occur and there are victims of these crimes. So no shit there are people who don't trust police.
