I wish sport like hockey and football would be changed so that people didn't get hurt or pressured into playing again or through serious head traumas .

It is free will , I don't think most street kids and glory hungry sons of football players would change their minds even in the face of the facts , obviously you can say at the end of it if they wind up an unfortunate victim then they would wish they had been forced not to .... But hindsight is 20 20 .... We cannot force everyone to see reason and rationality .

Schadenfreude is older than me, and that is always what this sort of thing is. My favorite is when people mistake it for moral energy.

Depends on how objective is defined. The way the Kantians, utilitarians, and the ethical egoist see it, objective morality has nothing to do with god. Whenever I see anybody talk about objective morality here it is always conflated completely with divine command theory.

The only way to say that it definitely doesn't exist is to say that there is no such thing as truth, otherwise all arguments against it fall apart (hint: every argument falls apart )

I'd change it to flag football.

They are never educated on the risk involved and as I have pointed out the NFL much like the tobacco industry funded junk science to cover up what was happening.

They are offered obscene amounts of money. They are given an offer they can't refuse. They are paid well so we can be entertained by their destruction. Some choice.

Actually, now they are. Even our first woman president has commented on it.

The guys made a life decision and will have to deal with the consequences. Again, just because you disagree with that decision doesn't mean they weren't capable of making it. You guys need to get rid of this complex where you think people don't process just as well as you do.
