Doesn't matter how far away they are, they're absolutely Christian. Not far enough away (Like the Druze and Ba'hai are from Islam) to be their own religion. There are many Christian heresy's (Which is what Mormonism is) that look drastically different from traditional Protestant, Orthodox and Catholic theology which all has it's roots in the Church that rejected the other major path (The one adopted by the Goths, 'Arianism") like the Cathars and Bogomilism.
