WW3 hasn't happened..., there is conflicts but its not a world war, theres isn't millions of soldiers dieing...yet. Ww3 will happen as soon the nukes start flying, which they won't because its common knowledge that if that happens everyone dies there is no winner.

Future generations will view what we call WW1 and WW2 as the same conflict.  And if something similar happens in the near future, it will fit into that narrative and will be considered a new Hundred Years War.

Egocentrism prevents people from seeing this at the moment, because of course our moment in history is the most important

Well, then you could view today's current problems as an extension of the cold war.

Far enough down the line and I don't doubt that it will. The Cold War was a struggle to ensure that a single power didn't control the entirety of Eurasia. That entailed managing China and the former USSR, and that struggle is still alive and well today.

if you count nuclear war as the only definition of ww3 then no it hasnt really happened.
I doubt that an all out crazy blowup of everything ever going to happen.

The people have been crippled all around the world especially around USA that you could say
Most people are slaves and lost to the corporate/finance world. without firing a single bullet.

Its soo subtle that most people dont even know they have had most of the freedom and power to change anything have been removed
right under their feet.

It is soo sly that most people dont even know who the enemy is.... Lol just look at jsp as an example
everyone is one sided/self righteous. Discussing about different political parties and opinions of others is
exactly the distraction that is working perfectly.

Here you and I might be trying to prove points of interest meanwhile corporations/financial institutions are laughing on their ass watching pigeons fighting over crumbs

In years to come, looking back people will consider what we call WW1 and WW2 to essentially be the same conflict, along with the Cold War as a distinct part of the conflict. Kind of like The Hundred Years Wars, which wasn't a single, continuous, war.

I personally think of WW1 and WW2 as the death throes of the old empires of the pre-industrial, pre-bourgeois capitalist world and fitting into broader philosophical trends, specifically the death of essentialism and the beginnings of the modern world as described by Nietzsche, Marx, Darwin, Einstein, and Freud. Think about it, a new paradigm emerged in the human activity that we call knowledge, an activity I generally define as a strictly human activity that seeks to bring order out of chaos, and the entire world changed to accommodate this new way of thinking about things. Shortly after this happened all kings died and magic blood largely became a thing of the past, because class took its place. The Three Estate system that had prevailed under essentialist ways of knowing things completely failed in spectacular fashion and most of Western civilization had to be rebuilt as a result.

Just a cool thought
