The fact that you hit 80 and have nothing to do despite the numerous changes in the game is mind boggling. Sure they churn out (shitty) content alright, you can farm for a week and you get a cool pointless halo/horns, that's some sick content. The sitting around running to piles of rubble is fun too. I especially like escorting children out of a warzone as they casually stroll to the exit. But all in all my favorite part is the reward system being based on the team effort, not only abused by people who enter and afk but literally impossible to solo to even the first tier reward.
Farm for months to get ascended gear and you're only a sliver stronger than someone in auction house gear.
The dungeons are boring, 90% of the mobs are ran past anyways. Fractals are gear-checked by agony resist, better farm that ascended gear so you can do the end-game content.
There aren't any raids. Raids are world events but they're nothing but cheesy zergs with little to no planning required.
The personal story primarily consisted of standing behind NPCs and dealing damage. And attacking with siege weapons.
The pvp might as well be a different game from gw1, which is I'm sure why 80% of the initial snap buys happened, but I've had more fun in sc2 custom arena maps than I do in pvp.
Don't get me wrong, the leveling experience was one of the best I'd experienced in an MMO, but after you hit cap there is literally nothing to do. Crafting/exploring/cheesing dungeons is not fun. And still I could forgive all of this if pvp was interesting, but they removed EVERYTHING that made gw1 fun.
The incredibly engaging and innovative system of prot/heal backlines, spike/pressure metas, and teamwork required to play at a high level in gw1 has been replaced with a battlefield style cap system that encourages people to build tanks and sit on them while the rest roam.
D2 endgame was the best...what with botting/farming/duping nonstop to get the same gear that everyone else had and what not...best ever!
