The formula would be nice as well. I'm currently selling everything in bulks of 40. I can stack uncooked fish currently somewhere 80+ so I wasn't sure if I should sell them for that much.
I've just sold like 160 fish and 5 fg each per stack of 40.

Is it pretty much required to have a fishing rod progressing through the levels?

makes it ALOT easier, i guess its not required, but it would take u way too long and many attempts before u actually caught one.

That's what I was thinking, currently only fishing level 3 and it's getting a little difficult. Any tips on finding/buying decent rods and what to look for per level? Higher durability is pretty much it right?

Yeah, the higher durabilty, the better.

Durabilty is 25 on ea tier of rod

so t1 rod - 25
t2 - 50
t3 - 75
etc.

U pretty much wanna swap rod every 5 ranks also.

Some answers and asuggestion :

- No way to fish without a rod when you get higher.

- Btw the droprate of rods is too low, we complained many times about that with listed stats, etc. - no reaction, I gave up posting about this.

- From Tier IV+ it is getting hard to find rods with good dura - and the prices explode to ridiculous amounts.
No matter how high your durability is, rods will break due to lag. So count in the time you need for the fish you let go for saving your rod.
The higher you get, the earlier you will do this - one mistake from taking a too big risk and its gone forever ... dunno how many rods you will lose until you get VERY careful.
I reel in 40 % of the fishs I start for this reason. Tier V + rods with good life easily reach 800+fg.

- if you go all skills to optimize your fish for the market, you will see that you need to transmute on your own.
There alre almost no higher essences on the market (IV+), very rare amounts, very expensive, and the few players who still transmute high dont sell for several reasons (market protection, self-use, pure selfishness).

-splitting these skills (fish, cook, transmute, suffusencing) in a team wont work. I tried to find a team, the very few capable people werent continous enough and the searchtopic was spammed several times from people making fun of my restrictions to find a partner I could trust to stay with me leveling high (at least 6 month to go, level restriction, on the site for at least 1 year, no warn).
I do all these skills quite high now and its really so much time I almost cant play the game anymore, just skilling ... no real fun.

-You dont make fg with it, because the rods will take a lot, not many people buy and even a stack of 40 fish with 550 stats doesnt sell easy for 19.98 fg.


Another question brought up here before :
"... suffusencing increases max stack size or not ..." - it doesnt.

I wouldnt go for these skills if you are not willing to spend 3-4 hours per day wasting your time for this. Dunno if I would do it again if I had known before.
I could do so because I had almost 3 years of time recovering from a motorcycle accident + night-shifting + an everlasting autistic desease (quite helpful doing stereotype acts with precision).

I mute for 3 years now, made it to rank 51. could you be so kind and explain me why any muter shouldprotect the market/be selfish about not selling essences? I thought i do that for myself. TO MUTE STUFF. Not to seem selfish or protect someone ?
