So I've got like 14 maps quantity wise all varied, do people buy these maps or is it better just to get items to mute?

Maps are very new still so its hard to say. For the time being it seems like there isnt a huge market for them. But just like anything else in this game, if you find one good enough, people would probably pay.

If you want to see all your time invested go down the drain because of your ISP or pauls then keep on playin him

No set prices or even general guidelines. Its one of the downsides(or upsides?) to this game.

Dont skill on your main character unless you are willing to play super super defensively. I made a suggestion a while back to have all characters on the same core share profs. But dont think it went well since it was closed pretty quickly - http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=59893836&f=272

as others have said, unless you are on SC, it's best to have a skiller and a leveler.

As for fish stack value/size/price, it's all personal preference. Perhaps make a thread in the trade forum and judge interest, maybe you can strike a deal or two with someone.

I'm not sure if I'm that huge into leveling right now that I think about it. But I will be needing equipment to transmute later so I might make a leveler later I guess.
