What a bunch of unsubstantiated crap. John McCain represents the people of Arizona VERY well. He won the last election by 13 points! And that's when he was somewhat unpopular. In 2010, he won by a whopping 24 points. 2004? Over 50 fucking percent. Give me a break.
That's a very simple minded understanding of how people get elected.
90% of voters are low information or if pressed hard enough on specific issues will just parrot party lines without actually understanding cause & effect. For example in a red state like Arizona, all you have to do is talk about how the guy is a war hero and he "supports the troops" "loves America", etc. and most voters will eat that shit up and vote for him repeatedly 10/10 times. The same is true on the left, parrot shit about how we support women, lgbbq, minorities and how we need more spending on this and that, it's the typical platform that is replicated all over the US.
When is the last time Mccain argued for not intervening or escalating a conflict? When did he ever say we don't need more military spending? When people like him say "support our troops" it's just code word for support unbridled military spending and endless senseless wars.
