I'm not rooting for anybody to die. I'm making fun of what it takes to get rid of a lifelong politician.

No, but you need to have a conscience and not wish death on people who disagree with your point of view. We don't need term limits because we have things called elections every 2 years for the House and every 6 for the Senate. Look what happened to Rick Santorum, Russ Feingold, and Tom Daschle. The people will respond to a bad politician and kick his/her ass out if need be.

We need term limits otherwise you end up with career politicians like McCain that instead of representing the will of the people they perpetually push a special interests agenda in his case it's the war lobby. This guy is responsible for more bloodshed than any single terrorist. Sucks he's dying but I'm glad he's on his way out of office.

What a bunch of unsubstantiated crap. John McCain represents the people of Arizona VERY well. He won the last election by 13 points! And that's when he was somewhat unpopular. In 2010, he won by a whopping 24 points. 2004? Over 50 fucking percent. Give me a break.

Did I, or did I not JUST say (and you quoted) "I'm not rooting for anybody to die."?

Yea, I just don't believe you because you're acting like a heartless scumbag. Term limits just force the people to have inexperienced politicians who turn to lobbyists for advice. You see that on the state level all the time. Since you're a Republican, I can understand why you'd want to implement failed state-level policies at the federal level, but that just seems stupid to me.

That's a very simple minded understanding of how people get elected.

90% of voters are low information or if pressed hard enough on specific issues will just parrot party lines without actually understanding cause & effect. For example in a red state like Arizona, all you have to do is talk about how the guy is a war hero and he "supports the troops" "loves America", etc. and most voters will eat that shit up and vote for him repeatedly 10/10 times. The same is true on the left, parrot shit about how we support women, lgbbq, minorities and how we need more spending on this and that, it's the typical platform that is replicated all over the US.

When is the last time Mccain argued for not intervening or escalating a conflict? When did he ever say we don't need more military spending? When people like him say "support our troops" it's just code word for support unbridled military spending and endless senseless wars.

So, what you're saying is that you want term limits to subvert the democratic process?

Who cares if he argues for escalating conflict? If that's what the people of Arizona want, then more power to them. If your ideas are so damn good, why don't you try and convince the people of Arizona instead of taking away their choices?
