Quote (ERL Performance)
It will depend on which LS1 you have. The 1st Gen LS1 is not a block you want to mess with because of the bad oil passages it has but the 2nd Gen LS1 is a good one and is the same as the LS6 block. The way to tell the difference is that the 2nd Gen block head studs are all the same length and the 1st Gen head studs are different lengths.
We can sleeve the LS1 (2nd Gen) blocks using our ERL Superdeck 1 sleeving and we can do a standard 4 bolt configuration or a 6 bolt configuration to it. Our Superdeck 1 sleeving is currently holding at 2200 hp but that's our 6 bolt "race" application. It all really depends on what your application is as to what needs to be done and that will obviously determine the cost as well. What are you looking to do with this setup?
If you are an engine builder you MUST know who ERL performance is...
In there they say an early LS1 block can only be honed .0040. That's even less than I was stating for the later blocks.
I don't think there is a single OEM LSX block that can be bored .090" over stock. You are a fool. Have another nice 1 year vacation.

Fmx said that 25psi on a honda would get 350. That is compeltely untrue.
I know what boost is, but I've boosted many honda motors at this point. I've boosted an h22 in a hatch with a big cam stock block and some other bolt ons and the kid put out 410whp on the dyno @ 8psi.
I'm not arguing that its a measurement of restriction, I'm arguing that 25lbs on a b series or h or f or c or k seroes will put out way more than 350whp, depending on the tune.
I just spit out a number. Notice I said "Might." I don't claim to know Honda's all that well. My point was made to him.
