lol megan

With only 600-800 your not going to get very far, save alittle more and invest in quality coils if you really think its necessary

lol yea i saw megan in the address and didnt even look....

well from what iv seen i can get an eibach pro or sport kit and the camber adjustability kit for about $500 so all i need to decide on is dampers.

ideally id get some mugen coilovers but they are $1300 and i dont know if im gonna have that much. id be happy with a pro or sport kit and some decent dampers. im not looking to get a profesinal race kit or anything like that. i still want it to have a good ride for DDing. i dont go to the track or auto X so i really have no need for an expinsive adjustable kit. i just want slightly stiffer springs better dampers and a lower stance without majorly compromising ride quality which is already slightly rough with the stock setup.

my stock spring rates are 248 F/ 448 R, the pro kit is 15-20% stiffer with a 1" drop and the sportline kit is 20-25% stiffer with a 1.4" drop.

im leaning towards the pro kit cuz of where i live with the shitty bumpy uneaven roads and all. i just havent decided which dampers to match the springs with yet.

The GTI has 180 hp but I still can't justify spending money on it like that lol. I'd rather just save the money for next year when I'll have enough to buy a 330ci or a 350z or something along those lines.

thats one reason why i just want a basic setup and am not looking for a nice coilover setup. i dunno if u have ever seen an 03 Si in person but it is a bit to high off the ground with the stock setup. why honda loves to screw the american marcket i will never understand....we are the largets car marcket in the world and for some reason they wont give us a limited run of type R's, go figure.

the honda factory performance suspension kit would be my first choice but as i stated i dont belive they make em anymore, i still need to call up the local dealers and see if they can find one.

also as iv stated many times in this forum im all about the turns, yea being thrown back into my seat in a high hp car is fun but i far more enjoy carving corners.

Yeah but your acting as if power doesn't help in a track situation whatsoever, you need power for more than just going in a straight line.

I would be all for putting whatever suspension upgrades in the GTI too if I wasn't thinking about the $1000+ dollars out of my pocket that would be going away from the new car fund.

i never said power doesnt help in a track situation, obviously it does. it just plays a much smaller role in handleing performance.

im purly saying that my personal preferance has been and always will be handleing over power, thats just what i like. with any car i buy or modify i will always go with a better handleing car or suspension mods before i go with a more powerful car or engine mods. just how i am.
