round 1.
i really don't see how you saw couture winning that fight up to that point, lesnar comes out, hits couture with a few knees, couture holds him up against the cage and done absolutely nothing for a couple minutes, lesnar takes him down gets full mount than couture gets him off of him and tries to take lesnar down, lesnar grabs his leg takes him down again, gets on top of him and gnp's, than they just stand there for the rest of the round

round 2.
lesnar comes out and rocks him with an elbow right off the bat, couture holds him against the cage for a few minutes than they strike for a tiny bit and then randy gets caught and dropped

where did you see randy winning that fight? lesnar has improved a lot since than and all randy managed to do was pin him up against the cage and lesnar really wasn't trying to fight it, idk if he was gassed or was trying to prevent becoming gassed but he still was winning up until he tko'd randy, randy literally did nothing the whole fight

Actually pinning Brock against the cage is damn impressive for a fighter of Couture's frame. Which he did for quite some time of the fight.

Also, I imagine Brock having quite a bit of difficulty passing Fedor's guard.

Lesnar does rely on brute str and size, but that's his advantage. If you are a good fighter; then you will be able to adapt and make a game plan for it.

he might not need to, i believe brock/mir II round 1 was mostly in mirs guard wasnt it?

no. heath herring, mir and couture are all good fighters. size and wrestling are a big part of his game, but his true potential comes from how fast he is relative to his size

nvm misread

I don't see Brock controlling Fedor as he did with Mir. I really don't.
Up to the fighters to prove me wrong, obviously.

ha you know...afteri posted that i went back and watched the fight to make sure i wasn't making shit up. i guess i was wrong about guard, it was half guard but the way he positioned his body it may have well been full guard.

as for control.....i guess it wasn't as exciting as the first time i watch it (pretty boring actually) but frank literally had no answer o nthe ground for him. the best he could do was flop his hand in front of his face to try to not get whacked.
