hey raynor, my shins are hurting a lot recently. I just did about 40 min practice of hang cleans (trying to learn the power clean) and the shins hurt like hell. I been walking alot lately too. ever since january, i have to walk up and down through my college campus. I was wondering if i have shin splints? The shins have a slight pain when i apply a little pressure on it.
what can i do to fix this? just no more power cleans?
what about heavy squats and heavy deadlifts?
Yes, sounds a LOT like shin splints. You have two courses of action. First things first, you can agitate the shin splints by running several times a week. Doing this will eventually force the shins to calcify and eventually make them much stronger and the splits go away.
The second thing you can do is wear special shin split wraps which protect the shins during physical activity and minimize splits.
The last course of action if neither of the above works is to see a sports medicine doctor.

do you know where to do a under water body fat test?
Local colleges/universities should have this at their gym. If yours does not, call around to your local gyms.
