I am not sure if I got an shoulder or rotator cuff injury, but I was doing the pec dec exercise(overatted and useless), which I hardly ever do and hate now, and suddenly I felt minor pain on my shoulder. The pain decreased after a day or 2. my shoulder doesnt really feel like it normally does. it makes a click like sound more often then it usually use to do when I rotate shoulder. Sometimes I get a minor burning feeling in the shoulder. I can move my arms like usual w/o pain or any issue, but is this a matter that needs to be looked at? Can I start working out upper body again or something gonna happen?
Can anyone help?

You very well might have a minor rotator cuff tear. I have this same injury (mine has got quite bad in recent years however - and now I no longer even bench press or pec deck, I only use dumbbells now).

I recommend you see a chiropractor and go from there. HOPEFULLY it is just a hyperextension and will get better on it's own with just pure rest.

hey raynor, my shins are hurting a lot recently. I just did about 40 min practice of hang cleans (trying to learn the power clean) and the shins hurt like hell. I been walking alot lately too. ever since january, i have to walk up and down through my college campus. I was wondering if i have shin splints? The shins have a slight pain when i apply a little pressure on it.

what can i do to fix this? just no more power cleans?

what about heavy squats and heavy deadlifts?

Yes, sounds a LOT like shin splints. You have two courses of action. First things first, you can agitate the shin splints by running several times a week. Doing this will eventually force the shins to calcify and eventually make them much stronger and the splits go away.

The second thing you can do is wear special shin split wraps which protect the shins during physical activity and minimize splits.

The last course of action if neither of the above works is to see a sports medicine doctor.

do you know where to do a under water body fat test?

Local colleges/universities should have this at their gym. If yours does not, call around to your local gyms.

Hey I just started working out 3 months ago.
I am 6'2 175 pounds. I am trying to get bigger.. but without any excess fat storing on my midsection / sides.
I am very lost with what I should eat throughout the day.  All I kno wfor sure is I try to do 20 min of cardio everytime I workout except on leg day.

I usually do it like this but I am still experimenting.

Day1: upper back / Bicepts ( Curls / the machines that have you pull them back to you to work your back out ect) (I am lost with what I should do to get better results in my upper back region)
Day2: Legs lower back.. (Squats Lunges Laying leg press then random back lifts)
Day3:Chest tricepts shoulders (Benchpress Incline/decline 10 pushups inbetween sets Various shoulder lifts and tricept lifts)

I am confused about the # of reps inbetween each set Im supposed to do. Like 3 sets of 10? each way?
I want to Get bigger and get a little cut at the same time while losing a little fat around the stomach without starving my body.

I usually have about 2 and half hours free time at the gym because thats when rides are convenient there and back so what Can I do to have a better workout and great diet? If im gonna do somethin I would like to do it right.
Thx

hmm, so running would actually help? And also, can i continue to do heavy squatting and deadlifting?

Hey raynor, just curious about this.. I made this recipe today "probably was already a recipe, but I figured I love chicken AND almonds, why not combine em?" and figured i'd ask if it would be acceptable as a keto diet.

3 chicken tenders "precut, ends up at about 8-10 oz"
1/4 cup almonds "crush to almost flour consistancy with a mallet and a rolling pin"
3 egg yolks
1 tbspn heavy cream
Adobo seasoning
Pinch of salt
Olive oil "Enough to lightly coat a medium sauce pan"

Sup Raynor.
Is there a difference between Salmon Oil and Fish Oil?
My dad has pills of both bottles, wondering if there is a difference between the two.

Hey Raynor is there any chance you could explain to me why my hands are naturally a little shaky. I'm not sure why but whenever I try to hold my hand straight it's shaky. If there's any solutions I'd love to try em.
