edit: so i got the sense of the thread right?

u know so1 who can teach c4d except malefice?? wink.gif
or u know any good abstract forums?

Realflow is a really great 3d graphics program that specializes as a water simulator, perhaps it was used? Im not sure but heres an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUOrLVW98-c&feature=related

I think he used the liquify effect which allow you to distort your image and a lot more.
If i'm right he added "grain" to the face so it doesn't look like a simple distorted image and it is basically more realistic.
Hope it can help you smile.gif

He also used the sharpen tool hell of carefully for the "texture" to say @.@

I've heard alot about "V-ray" when I'm reading about 3D (and 3D animation), and I cant figure out what it is. Anyone? smile.gif

V-Ray is a rendering engine that is used as an extension of certain 3D computer graphics software.

It is a rendering engine that uses advanced techniques, for example global illumination algorithms such as path tracing, photon mapping, irradiance maps and directly computed global illumination. The use of these techniques often makes it preferable to conventional renderers which are provided as standard with 3d software, and generally renders using these technique can appear more photo-realistic to the human eye, as actual lighting effects are more realistically emulated. The use of this engine has been known to increase the necessary computational power and rendering times due to the complicated nature and volume of calculations required.

V-Ray is used in the development of film productions and multi-million dollar game productions.

Now this thread is for Discussion of Craft

Meaning you ask how someone else does something in particular like this in a particular signature or artwork.

Example:

I, MalcolmSex, would like to learn how to do something like this:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c2/Cover_of_Le_Japon_Artistique_no_1_may_1888.jpg

Note the right side with the bird, I want to know how to keep it white whilst inking

Keep it simple format, you may have simple chatter but Keep it on the topic at hand.

If you would like to chat Laissez-Faire take it over here

if you are doing pen and ink you can keep areas white alot easier by using masking fluid

I saw this and I thought it was very cool? around about how long and how many vector layers would this take someone?

How would you go about reducing the size of animated pieces without drastically lowering the quality? I've seen it done but never explained.
Thanks smile.gif!

1 of them is to remove a few of the layers that don't make so much difference :S

You can't make animations high quality low file size unless you do them in flash, really.

You just have to find a suitable balance of quality and file size.
