Know what they were doing when they had power? Letting out anchor chain. Unlike a small boat, you don't just drop it straight down and tie it off. You NEED to lay out chain across the bottom for it to be of any use. Yes, you can drop anchor without power, but it will not be controlled without a powered capstan. They were most likely veering due to anchor drag beginning to take effect.

go onto instagram and find a post about this bridge collapse. you'll find 1000 of those people. every conspiracy nut fits that description 100%.

that's the irony of the conspiracy crowd, its motivated by a need to think different than the mainstream. but social media connects thousands or millions of those people and the anti social truth seekers become cultish hiveminds.

the internet is a gift and a curse. these wieros used to be on mailing lists, and would pass back and forth VHS tapes of TRUTHER research. now u can join thousands of flat earthers in 10 seconds of googling.

their "organization" doesnt bother me as much as the misinformation they tend to believe for no other reason than they've heard it repeated. "it turned for the bridge" is a good example here. it categorically didn't, the opposite in fact, but u cant shake them from it. they'll even claim they saw it. if u press them they'll say the videos you post are edited and they saw different ones. repeat the lie often enough and it becomes the truth.
