I saw the S/A claiming the person who took the job botted on the account.

There have been many cases where a user was banned for botting and managed to successfully appeal the ban before the ban was manually reviewed and verified. Jagex uses an automated system. It's not unheard of for a user to successfully appeal a recent macro ban only to be re-banned shortly after it's been manually reviewed and verified.
