Tips to help you trade safely

These tips are to help you conduct your trade in a safer manner and help ensure you have the appropriate evidence should a scam occur, they do not prevent the possibility of a scam occurring.
The safest way to trade is always to request a mediator. Keep in mind that all site/trade rules apply here.

1. Utilize a trade thread – PM trades are harder to prove and are against the trading rules.

2. Ensure clear communication on the trade that will occur.

3. When trading, be sure to indicate the EXACT name & stats (with an image if possible) of the item being traded for. This encompasses both gold vs. fg as well as item vs. fg trades.

4. If conducting a gold vs. fg trade, be sure to use an item that is unique in nature (not an actual unique item).
Examples of bad items to use for a gold vs. fg trade would include:

• Set Items
  
• Unique/Legendary Items
  
• Any other same stat items

The best item to use would be a rare/exalted item with 3-4 stats, example:



5. When sending a PM with the item for the buyer to purchase from the bazaar, make sure to check the “Save a copy to sent folder” checkbox before sending the message.
This will save a copy of the message sent to the buyer with the item information. This goes for gold vs. fg trades and item vs. fg trades.
