Following on from the previous tournament and in attempts to keep the bracket alive and well, I am hosting a new MLD Tournament, and now also hosting it in the Legit Dueling subforum (moved from low level dueling sub forum). The tournament has now started, however new players may still register. The rules are below. Based on feedback I have tried to make them shorter and fairer. Hopefully there is nothing in there that scares anyone (!). You may register with as many characters as you want but only 2 of your characters may advance to the KO Phase. As with previous tournaments it will be all vs all in the group stage, with the top% advancing to a KO Phase. It will be a last 16 KO with the top 8 players paid.

Please remember that this is a community event and the overarching themes here are: 1. Play Nice - Be Polite, even if your opponent is not. No goading or gloating. 2. No Def Whoring and above all, be reasonable. 3. Have Fun and 4. Contribute to the tournament in a positive manner. I know everyone wants to win, but there can be only one. There is a right way and a wrong way to win though, so please bear in mind: Excessive Def play will not be tolerated and if I am called to referee a duel, I will come down on the player that is being negative either in tone or in play style. If you are faster then your opponent and simply refuse to engage, you may be TKO’d. (I expect sorc's to be predominantly in-screen vs Barbs and Shapers for example).

As most of you know there are several users who will be overly disruptive and may try to provoke players. To all participants: Please try your best not to respond to spam in the topic. Polite or funny banter is acceptable, provided all parties find it funny. Stay on topic and when in doubt, let your results do the talking for you. Also, as most of the regulars are aware, I can and will, TKO or DISQUALIFY disruptive players. This goes for inappropriate posts in the topic and ingame disruptions/arguments. If anyone is bored, you can read some of the previous tournaments, as they are in the main, never dull. I can make a tournament out of all the players previously disqualified. I would like to say everyone will get 1 warning but if someone does something really off the wall / special, you should know what to expect! Having said all that, I hope everyone has a fun time, I especially welcome all the new players, hope you enjoy this experience and best of luck.

Tournament Structure. The Tournament is set up as follows: 1 Group stage, where all play vs all, and the top players progress to a Knock Out Phase.

When you only have a few remaining duels left, you need to post in the topic who is dodging / not responding, to give me time to take action or for my decision making at the end of the group phase. Everyone is expected to complete 1 or more duels per week in the KO phase (the faster we do this, the better). I would rather not timeout someone in the KO Phase. I will remove inactive players or I may TKO them at the end of the group stage though. Qualification and advancement is this tournament is not guaranteed without good play and an element of luck(read: skill). Don't be discouraged if you get crushed in a couple of duels. There will be alot of difficult duels.

Points are allocated as follows:

10 Points for a 5 – 0 win
9 Points for a 5 – 1 win
8 Points for a 5 – 2 win
7 Points for a 5 – 3 win
6 Points for a 5 – 4 win
4 Points for a 4 – 5 loss
3 Points for a 3 – 5 loss
2 Points for a 2 – 5 loss
1 Points for a 1 – 5 loss
0 Points for a 0 – 5 loss
