Players still wishing to register may do so in this topic, up until Monday the 11th of November, after which no new player(s) may register. Any new entrants to the tournament will be placed in a pool. Once I have sufficient pooled players, I will assign them to one of the 2 groups (see below).

Following on from previous Tournaments and due to popular demand, im starting another LvL 49 Tournament. As we are running up to Christmas, and mindful that the D2 Community is dwindling, I have both shared out a number of accounts and included a Prize Pool for this tournament (see below). Congratulations again to user DerPate (V/T) for winning the last tournament (if someone kills him in the KO stage you will be doing us all a favour!).

The core rules are in the 49 Event located here: http://forums.d2jsp.org/events.php?e=94792. I have made three minor changes (below), which apply to this tournament.

1. Smiter / Charger may use 85% Fire Res VS Sorc’s.
2. Nec may use 200% Cold Res VS BLizz (150 vs FO)+2 Raven OR 275% Cold Res VS Blizz (225% vs FO)+1 Raven
3. Nec may use 90% Fire Res VS Sorc OR 85% RES + 1 Absorb.
Additional changes do not come to bear as they affect classes and builds not currently in this tournament.

Please remember that this is a community event and the overarching themes here are: 1. Play Nice - Be Polite, even if your opponent is not. No goading or gloating. 2. No Def Whoring and above all, be reasonable. 3. Have Fun and 4. Contribute to the tournament in a positive manner. Unlike all of my previous tournaments there is a FG prize pool. I know everyone wants to win, but there can be only one. There is a right way and a wrong way to win though, so please bear in mind: Def play will not be tolerated and if I am called to referee a duel, I will come down on the player that is being negative either in tone or in play style. If you are faster then your opponent and simply refuse to engage, you may be TKO’d. (I expect sorc's to be predominantly in-screen vs Barbs for example).

As most of you know there are several users (who are not participating) who are consistently being overly disruptive and may try to provoke players. To all participants: Please try your best not to respond to spam in the topic. Polite or funny banter is acceptable, provided all parties find it funny. Stay on topic and when in doubt, let your results do the talking for you. Also, as most of the regulars are aware, I can and will, TKO or DISQUALIFY disruptive players. This goes for inappropriate posts in the topic and ingame disruptions/arguments. If anyone is bored, you can read some of the previous tournaments, as they are in the main, never dull. I can make a tournament out of all the players previously disqualified. I would like to say everyone will get 1 warning but if someone does something really off the wall/especially bad, you should know what to expect! Having said all that, I hope everyone has a fun time, I especially welcome all the new players, hope you enjoy this experience and best of luck.

Prize Pool: 5000FG. The Prize Pool will be distributed as follows:

1. 3000fg
2. 500fg
3. 300fg
4. 300fg
5. 100fg
6. 100fg
7. 100fg
8. 100fg

A special prize of 500FG will go to the player with the highest win count (or top score if win counts equal) in the group stage.

Tournament Structure. The Tournament is set up as follows: x2 Groups, with the Top 8 from each group advancing to a last 16 KO Phase. You are only dueling vs the people in your group. Everyone is expected to complete at least 5 duels per week during the group phase (more is better!), or all duels by the end of the group stage (18th November, earlier is better!). When you only have a few remaining duels left, you need to post in the topic who is dodging / not responding to give me time to take action or for my decision making at the end of the group phase. Everyone is expected to complete 1 or more duels per week in the KO phase (the faster we do this, the better). I would rather not timeout someone in the KO Phase. I will remove inactive players or I may TKO them at the end of the group stage though. In case anyone is wondering, In terms of the groups, I have made them based on Char Type with an element of estimated skill levels, no bashing on me please! i.e. a similar number of each char type in each group, as well as skill in each group, in order to give everyone as much experience as possible VS all the classes and chance to progress. There are alot of good players in this tournament and qualification and advancement is not guaranteed without good play and an element of luck. Don't be discouraged if you get crushed in a couple of duels. There will be alot of difficult duels. depending on drop-outs etc, I may take the best 10 duels from everyone or some such (but ideally everyone will just complete all their duels!).

Points are allocated as follows:

10 Points for a 5 – 0 win
9 Points for a 5 – 1 win
8 Points for a 5 – 2 win
7 Points for a 5 – 3 win
6 Points for a 5 – 4 win
4 Points for a 4 – 5 loss
3 Points for a 3 – 5 loss
2 Points for a 2 – 5 loss
1 Points for a 1 – 5 loss
0 Points for a 0 – 5 loss

The tournament has now started, so contact your opponents (try to keep your mail boxes empty) and get yourself onto the scorecard! HF and GL!
