Because Republicans wouldn't exist otherwise

Your numbers support my claim.

Obviously I didn't mean literally no educated person in the history of the world votes Republican.

But amount of higher education strongly correlates with political liberalism. As of 2015 Democrats have a 49%-42% lead over Republicans among those with college degrees. This rises to a staggering 57%-35% among those with post-graduate degrees.

Your claim was that educated people don't vote Republican. I didn't take it literally, I too enjoy speaking in generalities, but a 7 or 9 point lead among the college educated doesn't justify this frequent talking point by liberals.

It does when that widens to 22% with post graduates. It's a clear trend showing that the better educated you are the less likely you are to vote for the GOP. It also ties in with IQ and professional surveys which support the hypothesis that the dumber you are the more likely you are to be right wing and visa versa.

You can see it quite clearly on these forums as well. The majority of idiots are right wing idiots.

I'm all for higher education...

I think some of these campuses (UC Berkeley comes to mind immediately) have become breeding grounds for legitimately dangerous ideas/ideology like amending the first amendment to "disbar hate speech (how do you even classify such a thing lol)", or straight-up assaulting public speakers who don't spout their own opinions. I would be just as outraged if a conservative campus did it.

Conservative campuses just don't invite people who disagree.

Liberty university anyone?

I miss the idea that a campus should be a place where you are introduced to critical thinking, new ideas, new religions, new theories about life and love... It feels like colleges, just like politics, have become so polarized as to defeat the purpose of socializing in the first place

They still are, even Berkley. You hear in the news all the time how they are inviting speakers who the student body vehemently disagree with....

The bold is actually a nuanced, truthful talking point, which isn't the bumper sticker line parroted by liberals.

I think its tied to the hope that giving the general populace better opportunities will lead to a better standard of living for all.

But unfortunately that doesn't work without strict immigration

Such an argument...

"Republicans wouldn't exist if they killed themselves with stupid ideas"
