I never said that the bible didn't say it was a sin silly, The bible tells us about a plethora of sins and how all men are sinners. You can't just pick out one sin because youdon't like it

What the fuck are you talking about? Christians don't pick out anything. Society is moving towards the idea that homosexual relationships(and gay marriage) is something that is good, healthy, and desirable. Scripture makes clear it is sinful behavior.

You advocate churches being "progressive" or "open", which of course means accepting homosexual couples in as if their relationship is consistent with scripture.

Do you advocate that churches not accept drinkers, gamblers, people who have sex out of wedlock, liars..etc?

Drunks, gamblers, and liars generally aren't proud of that behavior. They recognize it is sinful. They don't attend parades which celebrate the behavior.

A gay couple is not turning away from their sin. They are not making an attempt to turn away.

Let's stop pretending gay people aren't allowed in church. A good pastor will be sympathetic to their situation, but being sympathetic and understanding does not mean accepting the sinful behavior.

The only difference is hardcore D&D players live and die by the obscure passages and rules, wheras for religion each sect is based on which parts they ignore.

Nah, we tailored the game to suit our style of gameplay. I had a relentless dungeon master who taught us the dangers of being insufferable sticklers for every rule.

Have you never been to Mardi Gras? talk about celebrating being drunk..That's what it's all about. and how many Kegger parties are there in colleges? more than gay pride parades. Drunks embrace drinking they don't want to turn away from drinking. Gamblers love gambling they don't want to turn away either.
Sin is sin everyone sins. The worse thing you can do is to try and judge people because of it. That you are warned about many more times than homesexuality.

Uhm... we're talking about Christians, not the general population.

Drunks or gamblers, if they are Christian, either accept that their behavior is sinful, or are in denial of their problems.

Churches accepting gay couples is equivalent to churches seeing a married man come to church with his mistress every Sunday, and the pastor not saying anything.

The worst thing a church can do is pretend a sinful relationship is not just that, a sinful relationship. Sorry if that hurts your feelers. If you don't want to hear about your sinful behavior, don't go to church. Jesus said "go and sin no more", not "continue sinning because you are saved".
