Hello.

I just got 96 on my main character in the new ladder and was wondering if doing Diablo + Nith + Baal (maybe get 5th wave in sometimes) is more efficient for leveling to 97+ than doing just Nith + Baal (I arrive around 2nd wave usually).

Anyone who got experience leveling towards 99?

So basically losing 4-5 waves at baal in exchange for 3 seal bosses + diablo.

It only takes 50 seconds or so to do a chaos run for most builds
If you have full vision of the map you should be able to get there at or before wave 4 doing chaos+nith

In my experience though, if you're just leeching runs and you can't convince the runner to do chaos as part of the run it would be more efficient to just do nith+baal if you can't get there before wave 5

ok.

You are level 97, 8 player party, other players are level 97. Or something like that. You kill all bosses with all party members in the same room. Other player levels would only change the experience VERY slightly, it would never have much of an impact. No anni, no ondals, no shrine.

Wave 5: ~2k xp
Wave 4: ~2k xp
wave 3: ~2k xp
wave 2: ~3k xp (yes) mind the bug, should it still exist. 7 player party needed. Lowest character leaves party usually.
wave 1: 1.5k xp

sum: 10.5k xp IF you avoid the Wave 2 bug. If not it is 7.5k. If you want to turn numbers in your head, just go by 2k xp each wave.


Nihlathak: 13k xp (is 8 player bugged too! If you are there with 8 players in the room (lol, as if anyone has ever seen it happened), one player needs to unparty.

Diablo: 17k xp

Baal: 19k xp

It is up to you whether you believe in the act 2 wave bug. You can just test it! I am too lazy right now.

Running Nihlathak and missing all waves gives you +3k xp net. Running Nihlathak and catching wave 5 gives you +6k xp net.


At level 98:

Waves: 500 xp each (yes)

Nihlathak: 10k
Diablo: 12k
Baal: 14k

At level 98 you can do whatever you want while the kids are cleaning waves and cs. Nothing matters, except Nihla, Diablo and Baal.

So 49k vs 43.5k? Do ypu know the numbers at 96? (My current level)

Oh you asked for 96. L 0 L. I thought 97. Well at 96 definitely do waves instead of Nihla! I did not do any numbers, but the punishment on level 96+ is HUGE each level, so if you are "not even" 97, the waves still give beautiful xp.

I feel a bit like operator now, writing a book about something which is not relevant to your question

I think you did a typing error. Diablo is always more xp than Nihla.

If I do option A
Nith + Baal (I will arrive start ~wave 2).

Option B
Diablo + Baal (I will arrive at end ~wave 3/start wave 4).

Option C
Just do Baal + all waves.

Which is fastest from level 96-97. I know it is only a 2 day grind but if I can shave off 2-4 hours I'm happy.

I would do B if you're playing something that can do it quickly like cs zon/light sorc/barb

Roger that. Decided to test each out tomorrow for 2-3 hours each to get a good average. I wrote 96 in first post guys
