My smiter has 95% all res and level 22 conviction to negate mephistos convision (this does work).

I have never had a problem and he has always done so little dmg to me that I can not even see my HP move. Now all of a sudden he does 2000+ dmg in one hit and I cant even get near him.

What the actual fuck is going on!?

Is my conviction somehow not overriding his? My resists are still showing as 95%.

If he can one shot me then it must mean he is doing attacks that do more than 40,000 damage - I cant believe that.

So after killing me in 1 hit about 5 or 6 times, Mephisto reverted back to doing 0 dmg and I killed him without losing 1 hp.

known bug, not fixable.

You probably didn't override his conviction in the first place (like activating your own conviction after having him on range).
Your light resistance droped to -30%, he shoot you with 20 bolts of 200 damage.
Total damage : 20 * ( 200 * 1.3 - 40 ) = 4400 hp.

The second try, Mephisto's conviction was nullified by yours.
His bolts then dealt : 20 * ( 200 * 0.05 - 40 ) < 0

Easy fix just stack lr and use fanat no need for all your res to be 85 let alone 95 you only need lr just stack it and use tgods

With 95 lightning res it's impossible to die unless you are supremely special. You have made a pretty common mistake, based on a mechanic that many people are still unaware of.

See the video below, 95% lightning resistance, 1k hp and no life tap He kills Mephisto without drinking a single potion.



Just remember, the winning aura is the one applied first, unless they are applied at the same time, in this case the higher level wins.
