Do you have conclusive evidence that exposure to violence in video games has a link to increased violence other than "intuition".

Ultimately things like this just fall on parents to control and make sure they raise their kid to understand the consequences and realities behind the media/entertainment they engage in and separating game/media to life.

So literally every first-person shooter that has ever existed is a murder simulator.

If you think you're going to convince anybody here with appeals to emotion instead of actual evidence you need your head checked.

I mean, weve studied shooters and found no relationship between the anount of violent media they took in and what they did, so we dont have a choice because the connection betwren violent video games and shooters has been debunked for years now.

I'm pretty sure the increase is actually caused by gay acceptance. If you think kids should be exposed to fags who hate god you need your head checked.

It just seems to me that if you're interested in something you seek out media that depicts it. I like history so I watch historical films and documentaries when I'm not actively studying. So if a guy is thinking about shooting up a school it only seems natural that he'd wanna play some shooting games. It scratches the itch.

If anything violent video games are possibly a preventative. Some people who might otherwise go out and actual shoot up a school could get to live out their fantasies through video games. I have no evidence for that but you know... just while we're speculating wildly.

Keep in mind this is all coming from a guy whose country banned the witcher 2 because of a sex scene with Triss. HBO rated at that, not even explicit.
They actually went and altered the game and forced you to decline her offer just to get it released later.
The violence was fine(severed limbs, blood and corpses everywhere), it was the sex scene where they drew the line.

They also banned fallout 3, not because of the violence but because of "drug use" and changed the name of morphine to med-x.
Because it depicted your character jabbing yourself in the arm with a futuristic injector, they banned it.
But being able to shoot limbs off someone, see eyeballs and viscera flying? yeah that was a-okay.
