that's not how this works, that's not how any of this works.
the server ID only needs to be the same, not the same game, difficulty(iirc), etc.
its the reason i think poofing is unlikely. unless this is an incredibly private dupe, which i'm not sure why someone would have done i guess.
for those who owned bmana's post item ID that were perm you're essentially devaluing your item to nothing, bmanas have been valuable for a long time. duping it and being unperm would have been done after we got item IDs, which if you were going to do you'd likely dupe a shit load of them. which would then lead to it being re-duped shit loads of times.
the scenario we have here is (hypothetically) someone with a bmana post item IDs decides to dupe their bmana only a small number of times, then those small number of duped copies don't get sold and stay with that person. The most likely motivation is some HLD guy who owned a perm bmana, who then duped it and put 1x copy on all of his dueling chars. Likely someone with only them on their acc with no shares.
even then im not sure what would happen if you took a char in a dueling game with unperm copy #1, then quit, then rejoined on a new char with unperm copy #2 in the same game. if that "memory" in the game of the item having been there can poof the bmana, i think this honestly gets into fairy tale territory.
edit: scenario 2 is that at some point someone "trusted" borrowed the bmana to have it duped, so they could have one too. and now both are unperm.
or someone stole it.
the original item duped becomes unperm aswell ? I knew for the server but this I never heard
