Not a weed smoker but weed should 100% be legal. Filling prisons for people who smoke weed is awful on numerous levels

even better. give him a pot brownie that he thinks is a regular brownie and a non-alc beer that he thinks is a regular beet.

That's a good idea. Only downside is that the high is different when you eat weed vs. smoking it.

I'm not sure why Congress hasn't taken the reigns on this issue yet. It's puzzling why they won't start a national dialogue and push to address issues like this one or tariffs when there is seemingly bi-partisan (and perhaps veto-proof) support.

Congress has really dropped the ball in recent years, and that problem is only compounded by the fact that the executive branch and power of the chief executive keeps expanding. It's become a new normal for the President to unilaterally enter us into foreign treaties/deals, commerce agreements, and foreign conflicts without Congressional approval.

But if Trump wants help to tackle this particular issue, I'm all for it. I think there is still a lot to discover about marijuana use, and the President might have to butt heads with his own DoJ over enforcement, but I think it's an issue that states should be allowed to decide for themselves.
