It was not a question of selling a simple cake and a refusal to sell to homosexuals which would have been clearly discriminatory and illegal.
It was a particular order of a wedding cake that included a decoration mentioning the same-sex marriage, which is why the pastry chef invoked the first amendment to refuse to make a decoration contrary to his convictions. This is a special case.

I think the Court got it right.

This was essentially a circumstantial ruling based on laws that existed in Colorado at the time of the case. The Court largely avoided the issue of religious freedom vs protection of same-sex couples. Kennedy's opinion seemed to leave that aspect open for a future case.

I believe you should be able to refuse service to anyone for any reason, however you must have a public disclaimer showing who you refuse service to posted outside so i can decide if i want to buy fishing gear off the klan.

Yes reparations. They were forced out of business and then the state imposed 6 figure fines. They deserve reparations from the state of Colorado

When you have a business it's within the state, then you have to sell your shit to all the citizen of the state, without discrimination.
Usually few centuries of history / wars / minorities massacres can help in building this in the law. This is "maturity", but at country level.

It's always the same story, people think they can do whatever they want without realizing it's possible because of the state.

nb; your disclaimer works between re-sellers, and probably in a limited way to final customers. Here: "we do not make cakes for homosexual people because of our religion" well, they didnt implement it, sad.
