Has he ever really missed? He’s had films that aren’t as great as others, but no misses. It seems like a real passion project of his
None. People could argue Four Rooms is a miss, but that's not on him as it was a collaboration of four directors, and that RARELY works out. I didn't like Death Proof, thought it was boring as hell with an anticlimactic boring GIRL POWER message that just made me wanna sleep. Either way, he's never had a feature film that's been bad, not even one that's been mediocre really. They've all been good to great, and while he'll probably make the best Trek movie ever, I'm just saying there's a chance that this could be a miss for him, since it is soooooo outside anything he's ever done. He doesn't do Sci-Fi, he doesn't do other people's material, and I'm just curious to see how exactly it's going to look. It could be the best Tarantino movie ever, which would be insane, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was his first flop, just because of how ambitious it is.
