What amazed me so far, is how big this game is. With other GoW games, I felt like I could run through the game in 6-8 hours and crush about 90%+ of them, but this one is sooooooo fucking different. There's a lot to explore, tons of random things that can be unlocked by backtracking and it's just overall amazing. I'm really fucking impressed with every aspect of this game so far. I am curious how long the main mission is, but I'm trying to do EVERY other mission I can on my way to doing that. Main quest is my lowest priority.

So its a open world/ you can free roam?

Is there loots? Items?

Ya man. It starts out linear, but the further you get, the more space you get to wander around. You find secret areas, side quests. You can craft armor, runes, upgrades, or you can upgrade shit you've found to make it more powerful. You've got your son who you can upgrade his bow or his quiver+armor to give him better abilities. It's really fucking sick

Ya typically with games like this I enjoy a challenge and I find normal / hard tend to be a bit too easy. Not the case for GoW Lololol even hard is challenging af

I feel it man. I went with normal cause I'm limited on time and I just wanted a casual playthrough, but a couple times I've opened a rift and got my ass kicked for a good 20 minutes before I figured out a cheap enough way to kill the fuckers. One of the rifts two mages came out, and literally every single one of their attacks would kill me in one hit. The ranged or melee shit. I had to sit back in a bottleneck and just throw my axe, block, throw my axe, block, while shooting between every two hits or so with arrows to stun them for like 8 minutes to kill them both. That's on fucking normal lol. This game is straight absurd.

So far though, on normal, if I've been where I'm supposed to be, it's easy for me to just mob through everything, but I like to explore and fight shit I shouldn't, and it seems like that'd be impossible in GoW mode, and holy fuck hard on hard mode. I'll def try GoW after I beat it once, but I wanna beat it sometime in the next month, and that wouldn't happen on GoW mode.

Lol ya I completely understand, I've only gotten through the first boss though since I just got it last night. goW mode might be if I really want to push my patience lol, hard mode is plenty hard enough

Killed my first Valk, game just keeps getting more and more sick as I progress. Going to try my ass off to farm the fuck out of every single piece of legendary/epic gear I can.

Finally lvl 5, and I'm starting to get legendary items. Still no exotics beside enchantments, but I've been doing literally every single side quest, and I'm guessing it'd be a lot faster to lvl/find good shit, if I just ran through. Enjoying what I'm doing though. Keep opening up rifts and dying 3-5 times before I figure out how to strategically kill the fuckers inside for a resource that hardly helps me, but fuck em, I want it anyways.


Would appreciate if people don't look stuff up online and post it, but if anyone comes across something cool on their own travels, I'd be glad to hear about it. Enjoying this game a lot more than I anticipated. I finally get a break from studying tomorrow after school, going to drop a good 8 hours into playing for the first time since I've got it and see how far I can get.
