considering I don't even know what the matchup was or what lane you were in I wouldn't know. If your cores are a nyx and a gyro versus a medusa and a lifestealer your goal should have been to 5 man and end the game as quickly as possible. It's not always about direct countering cores it's about playing the game efficiently. Ursa with a diffusal + ending the game as quickly as possible, a huskar in the same situation, etc. Plenty of options, core nyx is never generally one of them.

That would be an ideal matchup, although it's a pub, pubs come down to playing well as an individual, getting lots of kills and assists is all good and well, but unfortunately that isn't how dota is won or lost, playing the nyx with an e-blade and 2 items that add to your right click effectiveness is pretty counter productive. If you have the gold hex/lotus orb/etc would have been more productive. but idk what mmr this is so I guess if it isn't 5 man dota it doesn't really matter.
