The copy and the original is the same. Literally. There isnt even an original anymore.

Which will clash is the second item-ID to register against the server. That is all.

I see no reason why the server would choose the restored one over the original.

Considering how much money you spent on items over the years I'm surprised you didn't get scammed if you never bothered to figure out how they work.

The original is, by definition, a duplicate. It has the same item code. It can still poof.

The server doesn't see a difference in the 'original' and the 'restored one'. It sees an item with an ID, then it sees a second item with the same ID and deletes the second one.

I have personally proven this.
I asked another user to clash his earlier and he validated my proof.

It's true.

They really don't understand the problem. I don't think any of them play the game so they don't know and don't care to know.

Wiping all IDs and reassigning new ones would be...something.
