So, I guess a year ago, I cleaned out 9 accounts and started making characters I intended to play with. I xferred a lot of the items to other accounts.

I still have many of those items.

On one of those characters was 20x perm/legit 40/15's and 10x perm/legit 15/15's.

I still have them.

Now I have them twice because of the rollback.

Do..... Do I delete the old character? Do I xfer the jewels off first? Will they poof? Will the other ones poof? What's going on here?

I have an account I made a bunch of lightning sorceresses. All but one of them is gone and I have mules back. Do I delete them? Do I xfer the gear off of them first? Do I have to worry the items that was on the rolled back characters will poof even if they are deleted?

I have no idea what is going on or what to do here.

if the same items you moved to another character were restored, they are technically unperm until you delete one of the copies

there's no harm or risk in keeping rolled back shit unless it somehow dupes your existing items.

if you sold the chars and now you have them back, it depends on whether the other play still has his. if he does, you would ideally delete your copy. if he doesn't, you would ideally give him back the chars. that's up to you in the end. from his end there's no way to know anything is your fault unless you tell him. blizzard must be trying to expand the game with complex moral choices like dragon age.

the jewels can't poof unless you log in with both chars at once and somehow end up on the same server ip

So they did a test of the migration for the USwest servers, it fucked up everything. Their solution was to go ahead and do it for every realm without fixing the process first.
Sounds like blizzard. It's a feature, not a bug.

keep them, just use the down arrow.

The orginals that you still have, or may habe traded are still fine, the items from the rollback will poof when clashed.
