The latin word for weight is pondus. Gravatas is not a word and gravitas means gravity. It's almost as if people ages ago knew more than you do. Picking the 20th synonym to a word out-of-context is not contributing to the debate.

Weight is a force, the description you're referring to is weight. Your inadequacy to comprehend gravity might have its roots in semantics.

That's weight as in "the importance of something", like saying that your argument lacks weight. Some words can mean two different things.



It is a force and can easily be demonstrated as such. Blindly pretending things like you are, without proof, has much more to do with faith. Maybe you're just confusing weight and mass.
