it's not just that they're better mechanically, they're better than everyone in that room by a full tier, hence the absurd win rates
when you encounter them solo they're more manageable but when you encounter a duo pair of smurfs it's hella tilting

i had everyone muted as soon as the game started but i can imagine the kinds of comments flying around during the game ^_^

i took the tip of a guy who grinded from diamond to masters saying to mute everyone and it's made the game far more enjoyable

mind you i still type important info to my teammates but i don't care for their feedback

Most people are pretty shitty late game regardless of rank. I think the most common difference between ranks of players is how well they play the lane. It's not until high elo you see good macro. Deny their laning phase and a high plat / low diamond becomes a silver / low gold player.
