you must be doing something entirely wrong for the longest time, like old habits die hard kinda thing.
you should try to play to improve, and learn why you are losing. at a 2K bracket, i guess there is a lot more room for mistakes which may be tough to figure out why you are losing.

i think hero choice is what it comes down to

i have a horrible habit where i like to random and play what i get xD
its normally fine im versatile but in 2k when you get anything but a strong mid you're depending on your team to help you win the game. can be troublesome

i mean there's no problem playing Random at 2K, it helps expose you to all the heroes and you can learn their mechanics. I
n order to beat a certain hero, you need to know how to play that hero at least.
ppl complain about some spells being OP, nothing is truly OP. there's always a weakness, so exploit that weakness

i agree its good to be exposed to all chars, i know the mechanics and ranges of every char, but that being said if i random and get something like lich or cm its a lot harder to win a game with an incompetent team

conversely, if my team is trash but im sf mid and already on a killing spree by min 10, i have a much better chance of effecting the outcome of the game in a meaningful way with or without a competent team

i guess what i mean too is by learning all of the heroes, it helps you know how to beat them
at 2K MMR, you should be able to win mid in most of your games and climb back up. once u get to 4k level, you can either learn to play support or continue the core role. im a 5role support, playing at 4.9K mmr level. i suck at cores, and i rarely see ppl fight for the 5role bitch support role.
i wish i could learn core roles, but i'd have to do that in unranked games.
but by you doing random, u get exposed to all kinds of roles, so when u do get in the 4K+ bracket, you can learn to be versatile.

I think the difference is that nutty can win 2k games as cm with above 50% win rate. You can disagree with him but it works.

If you truly belong at 4k then on average you will climb because it is unlikely you will be matched against a 2k that also deserves to be 4k in more than 50% of your games. The reason you're not matched against 4k players on 2k accounts is because most 4k players don't get stuck at 2k

i probly could win more than 50% of my games as CM in a 2k bracket.
Mind you, i never played a 2k mmr game, but I would know how to dominate a lane even as an natural support hero. but in that bracket i'd probly get core items and just rekt everyone lol.
