so some background first:

I've been playing dota for a very long time. At first I sucked liek we all did, but I got better. I played back in the glory days of WC3, till the bitter end, when whispers of this dota "2" were first coming out, and alas when this one dropped.
I used to be good at Dota 2, I first scored around 4500 on my initial mmr and floated around there for a while even hit 5k a few times. But, after a while I started to lose more and more, I don't know if I got worse or people got better
I;m confused, need help

Game mechanics change. Player base increase. Skill level required to be higher mmr increases.

I was about 2k something mmr. MrDota (where did he go?) told me to stop complaining about my team and just pick mid heroes that have high impact and carry your team. If you don't have wards buy them yourself. After some practice choosing the right hero for me I climbed to 4k mmr and then sold the account. Now I'm starting a new account. Might see how high I can go.

I can't speak on your mechanics, but watch videos. You can find anything on youtube.

It looks like you're in the correct MMR

let me get this straight. you calibrated to 4500 way back then, and even got to 5K (back when 5K was really hard to do)? and now youre 2K. are you trolling or?

With dota1 experience, you should be at least 3K.
