Forgetting 1st pick

Na, I just thought we'd remove that and only pay out to people who actually do well.

I guess it is nice because it gets people bidding on absolutely garbage teams. How about we do 3% for #1 overall pick and 15% for the SB loser?

So? Multi makes weekly threads filled with his 30 and 50 bets. You can do it, breh

True story and I'll always dn8 to you when you go bust, at least until I go bust.

Anyone though, thoughts?

Revised payout summary

#1 Draft Pick = 3%
Eliminated in wildcard = 1% of total pot = 4%
Eliminated in divisional round = 2% of pot = 8%
Eliminated in Conference Championship = 10% of pot = 20% (I'm thinking we might want to decrease this and boost runner-up. Maybe 7.5% here and then 20% for 2nd place)
Eliminated in Superbowl = 15% of pot
Superbowl winner = 50% of pot

#1 overall Seed = 1576.98
Wildcard loser = 525.66 fg x4 = 2102.64 in total prizes
Divisional loser = 1051.32 fg x4 = 4205.28 in total prizes
Conference loser = 5256.60 = 10513.20 in total prizes
SB loser = 7884.90
SB winner = 26283

Alternate with higher payout for 2nd place would be

#1 overall Seed = 1,576.98 (This should be enough to get people bidding 200-500 on trash teams, which is all we need)
Wildcard loser = 525.66 fg x4 = 2,102.64 in total prizes
Divisional loser = 1,051.32 fg x4 = 4,205.28 in total prizes
Conference loser = 3,942.45 = 7,884.90
Superbowl loser = 10,513.20
Superbowl Winner = 26,283 (I think anyone would be happy with this, even if you went in 10k because you bought NE, this is still a good win)

I think this might be better. Second place should get a pretty decent payout imo.

I don't like this. It's getting unnecessarily complicated. It really doesn't need to be changed at all. I mean look at the Panthers 3 years ago and the Falcons last year. Teams in the middle of the pack money wise do better than expected sometimes and become great value. Adding all kinds of payouts will make less value picks in my opinion. 1st 2nd and Last.

Maybe if everyone for sure wants an extra payout do a random number generator on draft picks 10-20 and the team that hits that draft pick wins 5% or something. That way middle of the pack teams like the Vikings and The Packers are worth bidding more on.

he specifically asked for opinions/thoughts on how to bring in more ppl/fg for it

i think incentivising payouts would cause more people (who like he said don't frequent fnr a lot) to bid on teams

i think it will be ok either way, just offering my opinions

Instead of paying out dead last maybe payout the Conference losers?

That's the glory of these types of games.
The bottom is usually between 4 teams and the top, after last year, should be a bigger pot due to how well a lot of teams played.

The only thing I could see even being implemented without ruining the payouts would be to maybe add the 7th place team 5% each, if that.
