that's not even remotely what i'm speaking of.
there are some that suggest that sex dolls, 3d rendered and hand drawn pornography depicting illegal acts can be used by those with such proclivities to dissuade their urges to act out in real life. Rape fantasy pornography being the most prominent example we have already. Furry porn being an example of dissuading bestiality. Incest roleplay pornography being another common and increasing example in pornography. The more hot button topics are depictions of pedophilia and bestiality. I think like any such "therapy" it will be selectively effective, and will also create desires in some where they didn't occur naturally. However after listening to a podcast where a caller emphatically asked his parents/therapist to help him rectify his desire to touch little children that he fully realized was wrong, i think there is a target group it could help. It's just a dangerous slippery slope. That caller generally got the "well just dont do it, it's wrong" advice from all he approached. Which to me is the same as telling a depressed person not to feel so gosh darn blue.
Miss the good ol' days when even if such garbage existed it was largely hidden and not spread to influence even more people. We have it so backwards today, thinking that teaching kids at a young age and programming them with thoughts of such debauchery is somehow going to result in them being wholesome, not caring that this constant diet of garbage leads to many issues. These sexual predispositions usually don't magically spawn in someones mind but are a result of the things they've seen. I wish i never started watching porn when i was 11.
