Linus did NOT say that. He said it doesn't matter one bit...and then proved it.

Well, possibly a diff manufacturer's motherboard?

Point is...XMP doesn't give you the 3200Mhz out of the box.

Even Guru3D had to tweak their RAM timings to get that 5% increase.

@OP, If you want...get the 3200Mhz. I WILL be online when you have to mess with the BIOS settings. ^^

the point is...
he can stay at 2400,2677,2933 whatever mobo he buys and will allow.. for $2, if 3200 doesnt work out of the box.
or he can save $2 and stay at 2400 out of the box forever....
hmm

Like I said a WHILE ago... I would get this..

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qnsDsJ <---works fine, lasts a long time.

/e If others want to post a different build...they can. That's what this forum is for.
If, however, they want to coerce me into changing the build I offer...well, they won't live long enough. :)

I really like the RGB sticks. they look sleek. As this is going to be my first computer I'd build, i'm sure no matter what there will be things i'd change in the future if I were to build another one
