Welfare is the difference.
Also the distinction between having a job and not is a moot point if you can not survive on the wages that job pays.

You'd have to reduce the minimum wage to slavery levels, to delay the inevitable. Those ppl would earn barely enough to buy food and clothes.

They will just make better robots..
Corporations have to do whatever it takes to make a profit.
There is no easy solution but removing minimum wage and racing to the bottom is not going to do much.
More money in the hands of people who actually spend it seems like a better outcome to me.
